Why I like them I knew Maya was going to be an all-star favourite character the second I laid eyes on her. She's so cute and funny and I love what she adds to the cases she's on — her and Phoenix are the duo of all time! Her story's so interesting and compelling (and her family is so scary...) Every time she shows up you know it's going to be a great case.Burger queen of my HEART!

Why I like them Repressed queen... she's brash and bold and takes no nonsense, but at the same time, she's the world's loneliest 18-year-old. I've constructed an entire haunted house mythos around her for a reason! I think she's really well-written and the arc she got in AA2 was a really fantastic start to her character. I could talk about her forever and ever.

Why I like them TRUCY YOU ARE SO SCARY! I love how silly she is, but at the same time, how she hides all the sharp and angry parts of herself away for the sake of the act. She contains MULTITUDES! I am very worried about her. AA4 wrote her so well, and while I wish that consideration carried through into the 3D games,I don't mind that much because what her debut game delivers is so meaty. She's so bizarrely unhinged, it's incredible.

Why I like them I have a huge soft spot for dorky characters being manipulated by forces outside of their control who then have to rebel against said forces! I also have a huge soft spot for killing machine robots. It doesn't hurt that there's a lot of nostalgia attatched because I've known him since high school... if only his game was good.

Why I like them Has there EVER been a more spectacular character! She's the template she is the moment (and I was very vindicated when the GN cast her as brown. I ALWAYS KNEW.) Every YA 'manic pixie' has been trying to be Blue Sargent since TRB first dropped,and every one of them has failed. No one will ever have her raw panache ever again so DON'T EVEN TRY. Why I like them Where to even start. Sweetest young man to ever exist. Endlessly charming. My favourite quirked up white boy. Words cannot explain how much Gansey means to me, which sounds dramatic and overexaggerated, but it's really not. I've attachment onto him like a limpet to a rock. Just like his raven boys. Every part of him, from his manners of speech to his earnestness to the arc he goes through feels tailor-made to make me lose my marbles. My good friend Dick :-)

Why I like them Honestly, the characters in Termina are pretty weird because they are individuals but their being a vessel for the player is more important. That being said, I'm VERY fond of Marina! I think her story's very interesting and I love when you can get a feel for her personality when she talks. She's also just superduper cute and gives me mother hen aggressions though, to be fair, all the characters do that to me.

Why I like them Samarie occupies maybe 3% of Termina's total runtime so really, I don't have an excuse. I think Samarie's cute and I love her "relationship" to Marina (the toxic yuri of it all...) What dialogue she gets is really fun. I'm very fond of her :-) because I luv creepy crazy magical girls. I love her dearly even if she's hardly in the game. She compels me! Consider me compelled!

Why I like them These three were, like, the genesis of all other characters I grew to adore. Being a kid is so scary and discombobluating and wonderful and weird, and ASoUE/the Beaudelaires were my window out from the world of childhood. I never felt talked down to - I felt like my fears were legitimate - and I felt brave seeing them be brave. I spent my childhood STRESSED for these three.
