I read this book when I was in elementary school. It actually kind of scared me at the time, in the way that random things do when you're a kid, but I still really loved it. It shaped me as a reader and a writer, and it's an absolutely wonderful story I recommend to everybody! |

In the same vein as above, ASoUE is another series that totally changed my life. There's just something about how Snicket writes that's crawled into my brain and made a home there. |

I read WHALitC a few years ago, and I've been obsessed with it since. I can't even really explain why — every part of it feels so specifically curated to match my interests. It's basically the perfect book. |

Reading this book is hypnotic. I absolutely tore through it, and I've been thinking about it ever since. Morrison is a master. |

Who would I be without this book... |

The Elfhame series is my guilty pleasure in that I think it's awesome but the way people talk about it irks me so much that I prefer to not mention I like it at all. Anyway, these books rule. |
